Blumme Organica Moisturising Hand and Body Lotion is CDEA-free
Cocamide DEA or by the full name Cocamide Diethanolamine is a chemical surfactant that is commonly used in skin and hair care products as a foaming agent and to help thicken the liquid, made by combining coconut oil with a chemical called ethanolamine. However, CDEA has also found to be potentially carcinogenic (cancer-causing) and generally absorbed through skin contact. As a result, the use of CDEA in skin and hair care products has reduced significantly. The Blumme Organica range is CDEA free.
Blumme Organica Moisturising Hand and Body Lotion is Paraben free
Parabens are a group of chemicals widely used as artificial preservatives in cosmetic and body care products since the 1920s. As cosmetic products can degrade, paraben chemicals have been used to prevent and reduce the growth of harmful bacteria and mould, increasing the shelf life of the product. However, parabens can act like the hormone estrogen in the body and disrupt the normal function of hormone systems affecting male and female reproductive system functioning, reproductive development, fertility and birth outcomes. The Blumme Organica lotion dispenser products are paraben free.
