A Marula Oil Guest Body Wash for Hotels and Accommodation Bathrooms
The Maru Essentials Body Wash 30ml is a single-use guest body wash from the Luxury Range, available through LePack Accommodation Supplies. It comes in a 30ml teal-coloured tube with a black lid and is designed for placement in hotel, motel, resort, serviced apartment, BnB, Airbnb, and hostel bathrooms. The body wash is made with Marula oil, sourced from the Marula fruit tree native to South Africa, and combines gentle cleansing with a light fragrance.
The formula is both CDEA free and paraben free. Parabens are synthetic preservatives that have been associated with hormonal disruption, and CDEA (Cocamide Diethanolamine) is a foaming surfactant that has been linked to potential health concerns when absorbed through skin contact. The tube uses the EcoPure additive, which is designed to increase the biodegradation rate of plastic materials, with EcoPure-treated plastics biodegrading in approximately 3 to 5 years compared to 450 to 5000 years for standard plastics, as measured using the ASTM D5511 test method.

The Maru Essentials Body Wash 30ml range use plastic-tubes containing the EcoPure® additive. EcoPure® is a revolutionary organic plastic additive that significantly increases the biodegradation1 rate of plastics and plastic products.
EcoPure® causes plastic to biodegrade* through a series of chemical and biological processes in a landfill disposal environment and marine environment. As a result, EcoPure® plastics biodegrade in 3~5 years on average compared to 450~5000 years for current plastic biodegradation time.
Maru Essentials Body Wash 30ml is CDEA-free
Cocamide DEA or by the full name Cocamide Diethanolamine is a chemical surfactant that is commonly used in skin and hair care products as a foaming agent and to help thicken the liquid, made by combining coconut oil with a chemical called ethanolamine. However, CDEA has also found to be potentially carcinogenic2 (cancer-causing) and generally absorbed through skin contact. As a result, the use of CDEA in skin and hair care products has reduced significantly. The Maru Essentials range is CDEA free.
Maru Essentials Body Wash 30ml is Paraben free
Parabens are a group of chemicals widely used as artificial preservatives in cosmetic and body care products since the 1920s. As cosmetic products can degrade, paraben chemicals have been used to prevent and reduce the growth of harmful bacteria and mould, increasing the shelf life of the product. However, parabens can act like the hormone estrogen in the body and disrupt the normal function of hormone systems affecting male and female reproductive system functioning, reproductive development, fertility and birth outcomes3. The Maru Essentials products are paraben free.
